About Me

Cead mile failte romhat...a hundred thousand welcomes!
They say you should always have a good "elevator speech" ready to go about who you are, I think maybe I've kissed the Blarney stone one to many times because I can't seem to get mine near short enough for an elevator ride! But here's a good go at it...My name is Callan and I am the 2019 Arizona Friends of St. Patrick Centre Young Ambassador. I usually go by Callan Dalton Gist, the Dalton is from my mum's side! All us cousins got it as a middle name to continue the family name as my mum was one of three girls, so I try and use it as much as possible. I'm a 2nd generation Native Arizonan on my dad's side and first generation American on my mums, I like to think this gives me the best of both worlds. I work in the riveting world of insurance for StateFarm and fill my free time with as many activities as possible, I regularly volunteer with Hunkapi Programs a therapeutic riding center, Feed My Starving Children and the City of Tempe. I am involved with Brevity Art a local arts community, I am active in their Chorus and Theatre Troupe. I am a showgirl for an internationally renowned singing cowboy group (Pioneer Pepper and The Sunset Pioneers) and I like to think of myself as adventurous and outgoing, I love to try new things and learn new skills. I am extremely honored and excited to be the 2019 Young Ambassador and can't wait to travel to Northern Ireland and meet the other ambassadors from across North America! Stay tuned for my adventures throughout the coming year and especially my trip to Northern Ireland!
