Today was my last full day here in Dublin before I am off to meet up with Dr. Tim and the other Young Ambassadors. Exploring the city, picking up a few gifts for people back home and of course a few stops for delicious food and coffee. I also met up with Andres the Young Ambassador from Minnesota at the Oldstore House pub in Temple Bar before exploring the city center.
The Liffey bridge, it was originally built by William Walsh who at the time operated seven ferries across the Liffey. Upon building the bridge he received the right to charge people a ha’penny for crossing the bridge for 100 years! Thus the ha’penny bridge received it’s more commonly used name.
I also stopped by the Teeling Distillery today for a tour and tasting. Teeling opened in 2015 and is the first new distillery to open in Dublin in over 125 years!
Did you know how the term “proof” came about..I didn’t! I think that's my favourite thing about doing different tours when I travel, you learn some of the most unexpected things.

Well I’d best get packed up and to sleep as it’s off early in the morning to Dublin airport to meet up with the others! The unfortunate thing about traveling to different places on a trip is having to pack up multiple times!
