Today was most definitely a busy one, started off with work and then a quick stop by the chiropractors office before heading home to finish that last minute packing. Doesn't it always seem as if no matter how prepared you are or how many lists you make you always end up rushing around for those last few "oh I need this!" things? Or maybe that's just me..I even had a nice little typed and printed list this time, oh well.

Then it was off to the airport, I actually was running ahead of time...shout out to Casey for picking me up and playing musical cars so I could have air con and not melt away! Checked in and through security in less than 15-20 minutes I had time to grab a quick coffee and was delighted to find a Cartel Coffee Lab right near my gate. I enjoyed some time people watching..if you have never done this in an airport I highly recommend it, it's a very interesting way to spend your time waiting.

I also had a chance to check out the Phoenix Airport Museum which was really neat, they even have displays around the airport with complimentary postcards featuring various artwork.

Airport exploration and people watching complete it was time to board my plane for the first leg of my journey, it was a nice short flight and I sat between two lovely ladies both from Denver. We had a short chat at the beginning of the flight and then I spent the rest of the flight reading. A kindle that holds hundreds of books is much lighter than trying to cart around multiple books to last for an entire trip!

I had a quick layover of just an hour in Denver, which I've always found to be a nice airport that I very easy to navigate. After disembarking the plane I began to look for my departure gate 47 and quickly realized I had lucked out and came into gate 43 so I only had to hop on the moving walk way and go maybe 100 ft! I was also conveniently next to the toilets and a couple of cafe's. Another passenger asked me how I managed to get gates right next to each other my response was a shrug and grin as I quipped a quick "luck of the Irish".

This flight I managed to snag a aisle seat and despite both my planes being completely full I had good seat neighbors both times, I definitely think them being short flights helps! I had finally arrived in Milwaukee...my first time in Wisconsin! A child of the digital age my hotel was just a quick Uber ride away booked through my phone app and as I stepped outside I immediately appreciated the cooler air as it was about 110F when I left and merely 65F here. Arriving at my hotel I wasn't so tired I couldn't appreciate the beautiful entry way and art displayed inside the Saint Kate immediately living up to its moniker "The Downtown Arts Hotel". Grabbing a coffee at the station outside the elevators on my floor I headed to my room to get settled in. After letting everyone know I had arrived..and exploring some of the amenities (such as a Ukele and record player) I fell asleep to the sound of Seals and Crofts.
